About Me

Who am I?

I would describe myself as an aspiring data scientist. Currently a master degree Advanced Analytics - Big Data student at Warsaw School of Economics. Presently I am engaged about predictive modeling with SAS and Python. I am also on the way to certificate „Data Scientist with SAS system”.

I have interesting past. Why I think my background is worth mentioning ? Data Science is not only about programming. It takes a lot of skills to be a valued specialist.

My story

I must mention about my background because it is unique I believe. Although I am studying master degree, I am already a Master of Science in Civil Engineering.

I have 3 years background as a structural designer. My work is about using software for building design processes. Buldings projects are envolving many people and even factories. We are using BIM(building information modeling) to improve buildings processes. It is similar to CL/CD processes.

I had to cooperate with project leaders from Sweden with schedule planning and project management. It was absorbing job where I could really expand my soft skills, work in international team and english level. It also gave me some basics in working with different files like xml, yaml, csv, files pipelines, bug reporting in tool similar to Jira. Homever our schedules and planning resources is a little bit on engineering sense. As a civil engineer I had lack of knowledge about how to add value to data.

That is what led me to Advanced Analytics - Big Data studies.

Homever Big Data technologies consumed me completely. I have math and problem solving background from earlier studies and my work as a structural engineer. Now I am interested in the latest technologies and programming. I was always into computers and now I do not see myself anywhere else. I am enjoying programming, predicting and using new tools(even when creating this page).

Advanced Analytics provided me curiousity about forecast analysis. At present time I want to start new career as a junior data scientist.
